The Role Of Women in Society

In the past the role of women was very limited to four walls of the house.Their sphere of activities was very narrow.They were not allowed to participate in political,cultural,social and other literary activities.They could not play any role out side of the house they were consider physically weak ,mentally ineligible and spiritually dubious.

The picture of women in pre-Islam Arab society was very shocking parents were ashamed to having a female children.The girls were buried alive .Womens were treated only for mean of carnal pleasure.Among the great religions of the world Islam is the only one which made serious efforts to restore the grace and dignity of women.within the limit of shariah they can leave with dignity and play an active role on the society for the society.Islam given right to the womens even in Europe for more than eleven hundred years.In the changing world of today womens are playing very great role in the development of society they are proving their worth and value in every stage of life such as trade,industry,politics,administration,research,literary and artistic fields.They have prove them self in equal to mans in every field of life.In various fields they are working as Nurse,air hostesses and many more fields.if we wish to our country progress by leaps and bounds womens should allowed to work equal to man in every field of life we should get of conservative thinking and accept the reality that womens are an integral part of the civil society.

No doubt the real greatness of a women lies in her role as a mother the workin g women have to prove that she can be good mother as well as a good worker.The present picture is quite good and people realize that women should treated equal to mans .
